Formula Bike 3/5/2003

Due to numbers and budget, Formula bike ran only as a Saturday event, instead of the all night as per previous years. Sections of scouting enter teams into a race to complete the most number of laps in a fixed time period. Each team can only have two riders on the track at once. Its mostly fine when there are Scouts, Venturers and Rovers on the track, but all hell breaks loose when the Cubs come out later in the day. That's were we come in.

Heathmont Rovers have been running the 'crashman' service for a number of years. Its pretty simple, someone falls off, we drive around, pick them and their bike up, and get them to first aid. Unfortunatley 2003 was the last year of the event, due to decreasing numbers and increases in insurance. Hopefully one day the event will be back on its feet again. Thanks to everyone who came along and helped.

Chris also entered in with the Allindarra team, racking up a number of laps, with the team finishing in Third place for Rovers.
