Hoadley Hide 2006, Stunt 4 Behind Closed Doors
14 - 17/4/2006

For our stunt to be done properly each group needed good leadership, teamwork and a positive attitude, which the majority of Venturers presented. When a group arrived, they first had to sign in and read the introduction sheet provided. After the group singed in and read the introduction sheet they would then be assigned a rover/s to take them through the stunt. There first stop was the 'Door room'.

The Door room:

When the Venturers enter the door room they are presented with 3 doors they can use, each door leads to a different activity and all activities must be complete before the final door can be accessed.

Door Dispatch:

This is one of the three activities leading from the main door room. After the group has read the instructions provided they will then find a basic rectangular frame made from tent poles and knuckles. Hanging over the frame are four ropes all tied in the centre to a magnet. In the middle of the frame are seven miniature doors with a metal strip on top so they can easily be move with the magnet. On the bottom of the doors are vital clues. The clues can only be obtained once every door has been picked up and manoeuvred to a certain spot within the frame. One venturer must operate each rope, they must all work together and communicate otherwise this could take a long time.

The Sim Room:

This is another of the three activities a group can complete in any order. When they arrive in the Sim Room they are again presented with a set of instructions. This activity requires the group of ventures to dress in costumes provided. Once they are in costume they must work together to either make the Rover lying in the bed scream or laugh. Once the group has achieved this, they are given a scream canister. They will need this to successfully complete the stunt.

Bobby's Room:

This is the final of the three activities which the group can complete in any order. As always written instructions are provided. This activity requires each member of the group to put on a set of overalls and enter a mock bedroom. In the bedroom are eight wooden blocks with a different letter painted on each block. These blocks are hidden amongst various toys and bedroom furniture. Only one member of the group is allowed in the room at any time, and they are each allocated 30 seconds to find two blocks. After they have found all the blocks they must then try to figure out what the blocks spell. The word they are after is "WAZOWSKI" which is the surname of a character from the Monsters Inc. movie. The group must either remember or write this clue down as it is needed for the final room.

The Security Floor:

After the Venturers have completed the first three activities they can now access the final door in the door room, the 'Security Floor'. In this room they are given a code sheet, they need to apply all the previous clues to the code sheet to obtain the final four digit code, once they believe they have figured out the code they can then plug the scream cylinder into the computer to activate the touch screen. Once the correct code is entered into the touch screen the stunt is complete.
